Hi, I’m Stella.
I’m a person-centered planner and independent facilitator who specializes in supporting individuals with special needs and their families.
I have a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and over ten years of experience with Regional Centers and with the Los Angeles Unified School District.
During my tenure at the regional center, I supported families with clients ages 3-21 as a service coordinator for over ten years and advocated for my clients by attending their IEP meetings. Before that, I worked as an educator at several LAUSD elementary schools for seven years and as a family advocate for children enrolled in various Head Start programs.
I’m the proud mother of a child who attended various quality Magnet programs through eChoices offered by the Los Angeles Unified School District and who’s freshly just entered the workforce.
Recently, I completed various trainings on the Person Centered Planning model and the Self-Determination program through different entities including SCDD (California State Council on Developmental Disabilities) Orange County office training, SCDD Statewide Los Angeles training, ELARC’s (Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center) Self Determination orientation and Claudia Cares Inc. Independent Facilitator training and mentorship program.
I can serve clients in the following areas:
- NLACRC (North Los Angeles County Regional Center)
- FDLRC (Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center)
- ELARC (Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center)
- SGPRC (San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center)
- WRC (Westside Regional Center)
- SCLARC (South Central Los Angeles Regional Center)
